Did you like Lord of the Rings? I am guessing not that much either because there are few female characters. I think it is best to respect the author and let him write, or tell a story in film. If you don’t like it. Easy. Don’t read it. Don’t watch it. I didn’t like Emma. I didn’t like Barbie. Those movies were not for me, and where female oriented and that is fine. No problem! Freedom is best when it can create and reach their audience.
