How many of us take the exact same routes to and from pick a place every day. At the same times. Don't let your routine imprison you. Additionally from a prepper viewpoint having multiple ways to get to a destination provides backups if there is an emergency or plain traffic congestion. Switch it up, see some new scenery and learn what is abnormal in your environment. #privacy #prepper
so ideally you would want some secure enclave like knox (or a second phone) locked with a strong pin. and never unlock that in a public space under cameras. idk how good knox actually is, i keep putting that research off. the idea is that, you in fact unlock the basic functions (or your burner) with biometrics (maybe coupled with an nfc security device attached to your body) but that does not include any truly private data or privacy sensitive apps like e2e messengers or wallets.
Don't make it harder than it is. A privacy screen runs for $10 and graphene and other OSs have option to scramble pin input layout so there is no order to capture. The more difficult it is the less likely you are going to do it.
i personally just carry a day phone that has nothing on it, no personal photos, only data the agencies already have anyhow and work stuff. factory reset every once in a while. but i see your point.
There is no one size fits all. Your strategy should fit your threat model. I just want people to think through what that would be and not just accept the default.
yeah my threat model is 1) someone snatching the phone while unlocked 2) some retarded gov agency forcing me to unlock and clone the entire phone for some retarded reason cause they can. this mitigates fallout in both cases.
