Rage Against The Machine breaks my brain. I will never hear one of their songs and not get pumped about tearing down systems of oppression.
But during Covid they let their true colors fly and I realized that I am completely out of alignment with them. They went from “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” to “fuck you why won’t you do what they tell you?” Real quick.
Noam Chomsky was another. I guess it’s healthy to loose faith in your childhood hero’s.
