What's the status for Wasabi coinjoins? Didn't they do some kind of deal with ChainAnal? I'm out of the loop on this so excuse my ignorance if it's not correct

That was when they ran the coordinator (and the reason why I never used them).
My understanding is that now that they've stopped coordinating and you can pick your preferred coordinator (check out @LiquiSabi ) that's not an issue anymore?
Chainalysis can now run their own coordinator ๐ค ๐ค
And we can not choose to use it. Check out @LiquiSabi and take your pick.
Wasabi is on a track of transformation to eliminate its dependency on any central entity, such as the backend and the CoinJoin coordinator. The first stage is already complete, and anyone can run a coordinator. In the second stage, we are working to make deploying a backend (an API that provides compact blocks and some other things) easier and cheaper. The idea is to remove this idea of an "official" backend and that users can connect to whatever backend they want. We are almost there.
