Today's saffron harvest image Zero effort to grow, multiplies itself every year, and nice flowers right when it starts to get colder and darker.

Looks like it grows in zone 5-9. I'm in 8b. It might grow indoors but you're only getting 1-3 flowers per corm, and only 3 threads per flower, which is not much for cooking with.

There's nothing quite like taking a big whiff from a jar of saffron that you grew. Where is the smell-o-vision when we need it?
149993 flowers to go, and you might harvest a a full kilo and get one average European salary for it ๐Ÿ˜

Should be able to find all the basics online. Mine go dormant in the summer if they don't get extra water, but they do fine. The leaves are long and thin like grass, and they'll spill out 12-18". Expect to dig them up every few years to thin out and replant.
