Fuck it, let’s ride. I will grab my popcorn. I hope they stop at nothing to do this. Fuck Core and the maxis that aren’t cognitively capable enough to see that their favorite blockchain is finito. Wild to see them think Luke is a villain with “bad actors” on BIP110 side when they have Larry Fink + BlackRock and Michael Saylor on their side. Their heads are hollow and I hope they enjoy their Bithereum slop while they pretend it’s still operating like Bitcoin’s original intention just because it’s the “original chain.” View quoted note →

#Monero is the sole embodiment of Cypherpunk and Crypto-anarchist ideals that have been put into practice and continue to advance without compromise. image
Its ultimately pretty boring. They have nothing to offer except team identification. There are plenty of chains that can be used for monetary transactions and theres very little reason to support theirs in particular.

Honestly strange, it’s like a cult. Sure “Bitcoin” will survive in the general sense but it will get increasingly captured. What is your take on its future? Do you think the US will try to use Bitcoin to help themselves with the debt problem? Could be why they want to control is so bad. My guess is that it’s for that + if you make it less like money, they can benefit from it while also lessening its threat to the dollar. Just some ideas. Thoughts?
I don't think there's any interest in Bitcoin in legacy financial circles beyond speculation. They do not see it as a valid threat, because it can't be one anymore. So it just becomes another vehicle for them to abstract and rent seek from. The playbook is well understood. But @gsovereignty disagrees with me and he's pretty smart too.
