I was born many year later but I'll admit it, 80's kids had the best gaming experience growing up. They played all the classics(Mario, Mega Man, Contra, Castlevania, and so on) got to experience legitimate arcades and then we're still able to play the good stuff from the 90's as well.

Never caught the arcades much outside if Chuck E Cheese but got to play all the classics and watch the rapid improvement bring to life whole new worlds.
We sure did. Every mall had at least one arcade, and most restaurants, bowling alleys, etc., had a couple games.
My earliest memories of games were buddies older brothers forgotten Atari’s.
Then the Christmas when I was 5 or 6 (85 or 86), I got a Nintendo, as I was the oldest. Literally had teenagers asking if they could come play 😆
90s saw it advance so fast. If we didn’t have beer or girls, we were playing Golden Eye or Mario Cart on the 64.
Oh, and the world sucked a lot less, and the majority of my childhood was outside, unsupervised, and glorious.
Confirmed. Same with computers. It was a privilege to learn on Commodore, Tandy and Apple 2
Nah, 90s kids had Halo 3 and the CoD Modern Warfare come out at the same time.
