Diesel vehicles are objectively superior.
I had a mk4 TDI and got 300k miles from the motor before I sold it. It never missed a start, leaked no oil, got 40mpg and was still running strong when I sold her. Miss that vehicle.
I got another TDI that is an absolute beast and I own a 7.3 Liter Ford power stroke f250 that has 250k miles and it works perfectly, leaks no oil. Can’t beat the diesels.

With SCR and DEF, running on renewable diesel, they are also the most environmentally “responsible” vehicles on the road.
They are the same what they gain in one side they lose on the other. Diesel is better for long term storage.

I have a petrol with 250k+ miles and zero issues.
