Joseph, born in 1568 in Macedonia, felt a divine call early in life, leading him to dedicate himself to monasticism at a young age. He excelled in spiritual discipline and theological study at Partoș Monastery, where he later became abbot. Known for his humility and wisdom, Joseph was chosen as the Metropolitan of Timișoara. He worked tirelessly to strengthen the faith of his flock, rebuild churches, and care for the poor and sick. His gentle guidance and unwavering commitment to God earned him the deep respect and love of the people, until his death in 1656.
