haha, well the warm welcome is happy enough for me 🙂 funny enough i don't use social media much despite building a decently successful one. i have nothing against twitter/x, instagram, bluesky, whatever -- my main purpose of using these is the value of the content, not the security, data privacy, or protocol underlying them. i stumbled into nostr cuz i'm currently building/playing around with the idea of a niche chat app that prioritizes it's specific purpose/values and security is kind of an afterthought. i looked into matrix/federated stuff but it's pretty complex and has its drawbacks. the simplicity of nostr protocol is most attractive to me. and the idea that it could be used to create a better, decentralized signal is awesome. i'm not crazy about crypto, but decentralization is cool, and web3 style login is awesome.
