They are not reliable at all. Chatpgt. Plus they are an average for the century, so who knows what year they are taken from! It's just to get an overview. But once I have a good format I will refine the data.
I'm also missing some big players like Ottoman Empire or the Japanese in WW2. To make this more representative I would either have to include more players (40-50) or just simplify by lumping a bunch of nations into categories (Europe, Asia, Middle-East).
Tech also makes a huge difference. Machine guns and nukes don't compare well with greek hoplites or persian immortals...
ChatGPT's replies are a total mess of bias, censorship, propaganda, glitches and plain mistakes when your prompt deals with historical, social, ideological, economic and political facts and figures. I wouldnt trust it for any serious analysis or research.
