I never experienced electricity cuts during that time. This must be a "region specific" memory.
It was nation wide and quite prevalent. I remember them. We might have a Mandela effect here ๐


Which nation? Certainly you weren't across the entire United States for each occurrance.

We had a shortage because of the oil embargo.
Now, the world is awash with oil, at least the USA is, we just have to pay more because Euro cucks are too scared to upset the Islamists in their countries. ๐

I was in the United States as a kid visiting DisneyLand with my parents in the mid 1970's.
I don't remember any outages or fuel shortages ๐
