What he's saying is that you're going to need phone verification in order to log in to most websites. You want to log into your bank account and see your balance or do transfers. You'll need phone verification on an approved phone. It doesn't matter if you use Linux to access the website.

I almost have finished the unbanking process. This will be the final straw to cut all ties with my remaining bank. If corporates and the state are not prepared for one thing it is people sustaining their lives without bank accounts. Everything is built around it. It's their biggest Achilles heel.

that's already here. i need 2FA to do anything in my bank accounts which requires their app (can't use a 3rd party). so I just have a separate cheap phone for all that stuff. they can look through whatever they like, I don't keep anything on it.
