wow, that's crazy. the former import/export coordinator in me is freaking out internally. if one of those containers was ours, we'd be boned. well, probably not cuz of insurance but still. what a headache.

Operations at the Port of Long Beach were briefly suspended earlier today after the Portuguese-flagged bulk carrier M/V Mississippi experienced a mechanical failure, causing the vessel to list and spill more than 60 shipping containers into the water and onto nearby barges at Pier G. No injuries were reported, and both local authorities and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident.
