Your body isn’t “overworked” and in need of some “maintenance and cleanup” time. Everything is happening at the local cell level everywhere all the time. Homeostasis is a dynamic constancy, not some process your little ape brain needs to schedule for it. Every other species is just fine without this silliness, you will be too.

44 hours in! I always "cheat" with a dash of lemon juice in my water and a spoon of MCT oil on days 2&3. Without these I just get too fainty and can't keep it going beyond 40-ish hours. Great write-up, thank you.

Yeah agreed. Sugary foods, even healthy ones, I find can be problematic. Best to go with fats and proteins to start. Bone broth is ideal, followed by eggs, avocado, meats. Small portions, eat slowly and save the fruits and quick carbs for later in the day.

I guess everyone is different, but I find sugary foods, even healthy ones, can be problematic. For me I find it best to start with fats and proteins. Bone broth is perfect, followed a bit later by eggs, avocado, meats. Always small portions, always eat slowly and save the "quick carbs" for later in the day.

Some take pharmaceutical’s like Ivermectin - but I chose to go the diet/herbal route. I took a 10 day supplement of anti-parasitic herbs and ate a diet of mainly of fruit and vegetables to starve them. No meat, dairy or sugar. I’m not a doctor, but the the things I saw cannot be unseen. The product I used is from foodoverdrugs.com and she has some thorough information there. Highly recommended.

"Not reading for 72 hours isn't easy...you'll be surprised how easy it becomes" This is real. I do a 40+ hour fast for Tritium (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday) each year, and each year it gets easier. At some point, I think I'm hoping to have to make it significantly longer if it is to remain a difficult and efficacious spiritual discipline. I've begun to feel just amazing some holy Saturday afternoon.

One thing better than 72 hour fast is a 100-120 hour fast. You get to keep the mental clarity for an extra day or two and day two is always the hardest. The next few have been easy. Got to be able to do 16 hours without eating regularly and 24 hours a few times before trying the longer ones though #fasting

I’ve been fasting long enough that I can generally go to the gym and do my normal workout. You actually get a testosterone boost that helps you be able to stay active.

I would agree with you if we lived in a perfect environment only eating and using natural products. We’ve evolved to a point where we destroy ourselves daily! Some people’s systems are functioning at a level to handle it but most of us are compromised. Simply look around… do most of the people you know even look healthy?

Love this breakdown on a 72 hr fast! If you’ve never tried fasting before the easiest thing to do is stop eating an hour earlier than usual. You’re already “fasting” for 8 hrs while you’re asleep! First goal should be a full 13 hrs if you’ve never done it before. A lot of people prefer to skip breakfast however after years of fasting, experimenting and research I’d suggest consistently eating within 2 hrs after waking up max. This signals your body that it’s morning which is important for your circadian rhythm, cortisol levels and so many other functions. Making sure this is a high protein and fat meal, low carb helps staves off cravings for unhealthy foods throughout the rest of the day. No they don’t look healthy, you are correct on that front! I just hate scammers and most detox stuff is selling a scam to folks that never had the time to get through enough biology to understand there is no such thing as a “detox”. Just eat natural move every day and you’re good. So things like O2 and CO2 are not good and bad things, they need to be in the correct homeostatic ratio, but we don’t have to intervene with a $49.99 treatment 😀
