the solution is to have millions of webs of trust. and to be highly skeptical of any client that has a single, unchangeable default. (unless it is a very specific and personalized client).

Hi @npub1weev...09xg, the Web of Trust filter in Nostur is not used to report spam, it is used to find out what is likely not spam, and it is different for every user because it is based on who they follow. If they follow you, or someone they follow follows you, you would not be filtered out. People not seeing your DM replies after they messaged you first might be a bug, I'll check that.
