Fun thing is that when I click the link above starting with Damus.io then iPhone opens a web browser for snort.social

you have to prefix links with damus:nostr: if you want them to open in damus, or use https://damus.io/note1%E2%80%A6 deeplinks which work in notes.
naddr links don’t work atm though
