I also don't use wifi for these reasons. I disabled the wifi modem in firmware on my laptop and use an ethernet adapter. Id remove it but I hate taking apart modern laptops, I almost always break them.

Yeah it's pretty ass. My current ThinkPad is okay, but even they're starting to solder shit and make it harder to do cool stuff. Maybe Framework will work out. Might order one as my next laptop. Will post about it here if you're interested. The one with the external GPU is compelling. Although if you secure the internal screws it's hardly external. Still cool though.
