Make your own. Mine mostly gets deer / elk scraps. But when I run out of that I grind chicken quarters that I get for less than $1/lb. Mix in some sweet potato, green beans, and berries.

I feed my dog fresh pet grain free and mix 50/50 with chicken thighs I cook. She is 10 and extremely healthy.

for kibble: taste of the wild grain-free i also make my own wet food: ground turkey (or chicken or beef), pumpkin, oats, saurkraut, water, sometimes flat parsley if i have it left over
