Aa for open hw, I dont see it happening to any scale that would make a difference. lm at about 2 decades in tech fab / manufacturing. The big players fail more than succeed in new products. Little start ups have a Kilamanjaro climb ahead of them. For example, Pine64 been trying hard AF, but they still got the same hw they did 5 yrs ago or so
