Taking advantage of remote work, I'm spending this week at Lake Alūksne. This lake is de facto No. 1 in Latvia for catching trophy fish. I come here once a year and again, and I'm convinced of it again. They say that zander no longer spawns here and only old dinosaurs swim. Yesterday at 11-13 I entered the lake, quickly caught a couple of perch and two pike, later I switched to a pano computer game and this 85cm beauty showed up. About 10m under the boat, but these giants move and feed in the upper layers of the water at 2-3 meters. Of course, I let it go. See ya next time! #fishing
