Mayan beekeeping of the Melipona bees. Dona Neby not only explaing and showing the bees but gave me a special treatment for my arthritis. No stingers very friendly and they know right where the pain is. Dona Neby's daughter had what I have at 16. Hands twisted and couldn't walk. Over 10 years later and she looks fine n healthy now. Their vibration of the bees, sound waves as well as the bee propolis and honey are all medicinal according to the Maya. The oldest way is to hollow out logs for the brood. Today they use wooden boxes and harvest the honey with a syringe.
