Self hosting media in a Nostr-native way is harder than it seems. Today I logged into Blossom Drive - the web UI to interact with Blossom server by @npub1ye5p...knpr to see most of my media uploads vanish from my media folder. Luckily it was just the preview functionality that went missing, not the blobs themselves. Another GUI I use is bouquet by @florian , but it struggled to display uploaded mp4 files (specifically the GUI preview). The cool (but obviously way less visual and intuitive way) thing is that I can still browse blobs. So as I uploaded a video file I took the blob, added .mp4 at the end of the link and voila, the file can now be shared and it supports preview functionality. I guess the moral of my story is twofold: 1. We are so early 2. Self sovereignty is hard to reach, but possible. You just need to really want to do it. nevent1qqsw5yukahfpwfc04eca8twlp0ezv9mw6qxvhf7mr8pmpltrh3a6nhqppemhxue69uh5qmn0wvhxcmmvnxmzmp
