Strategy involves planning and thinking of different scenarios and what to do in each as it presents itself so you are prepared. Chasing is just thoughtless pursuit of something that appears worthwhile. If you are chasing a rabbit and you run faster it will still outrun you, strategy would be to set a trap.

Not if you are faster. Strategy can be instinctual. Running after something can be part of a strategy. I am not as fast as the rabbit but I have more stamina. I will chase him and he will tire. Then I will catch him and eat him. Strategy can be inbuilt. Fish swim in shoals because there is greater safety in numbers. They didn't have a meeting about strategy before they set off swimming. Not everything is a chess match. Just my thoughts, off the cuff, no strategy πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸš’πŸ˜Ž

I don't think I am. Not everybody who has "made it" had a plan. Some were lucky. Some were gifted. Some were chosen. Some had a strategy.

Mozart was gifted. He didn't practice 10000 hrs. He was 5 when he was composing. We mere mortals may have to work at it but some don't. I agree that forethought will help but I also believe in miracles
