TIL Cambodia has a CBDC 90% of what I saw there 3 months ago was cash payments - my Aussie credit card was accepted on Grab and my debit card allowed me to withdraw USD from ATMs. Cash is king there, particularly dollars so I wouldn’t expect the same to play out in places like Aus where cash usage is around 10% of TXs

Being a seafarer might be the only option. 😅
