neat... with 0xchat you can technically follow people without technically following them... if you add them as a contact.
it'll still load their notes/replies in the moments feed, but they won't ever get a notification that you've followed them

I've never got follower notifications. They exist? What client are you using?
I've gotten them before on Primal, Nostur, Damus, and Amethyst. Using 0xchat atm
