But can the descriptor give the same additional entropy as a passphrase? Or is it more likely that someone knowing all of your keys can scan the realm of possible descriptor variations?

@npub1w34z...3ndd the descriptor space is small enough to enumerate, so it buys obscurity rather than entropy. someone holding every key can walk the standard paths and quorums in seconds, where a passphrase is arbitrary and has nothing to walk.
