@Wavlake I’m trying to set up a Wavlake account but running into a couple of issues:-
1. There is the option of setting up a built-in wallet or linking existing wallet. I’m opting for the built-in wallet first and it seems to be set up, but when I try to fund the wallet it gets stuck in a loop after clicking the “verify location” button. This is on desktop.
2. In the artist settings there’s a field for YouTube channel and despite putting the correct address format (and tried multiple variations) it still shows an error that the format is wrong
3. In the iOS TestFlight app I’m stuck with the following error message: “Text strings must be rendered within a <…” and I can’t see the rest of the message. This doesn’t go away after closing the app, so the only fix is to delete and reinstall, but then I get back to the same error later during setup process
Much appreciated if anyone can help on this, as I’m hoping to upload a new release by tomorrow

Actually I’m still having a bit of trouble. Not long ago the wallet was showing and it had the same amount of sats as the desktop/web version, but there was no artist account details or photo. the wallet then disappeared too, but it came back when I selected NWC. I wonder if the missing photo and artist info is something to do with the nsec - I don’t think one was generated on the desktop but on the app it was requested. Since I didn’t have one I generated a new one with the dice.
Back to the wallet, I’ve selected Phoenix as default but there were no prompts to actually connect - is it automatically connecting in the background, or what’s happening there?
One more thing - if I tap on the user avatar multiple times it keeps looping to the same page and then I need to tap the same number of times to get out of it

The YouTube address problem is now fixed as well - thanks a lot 🙏
This one is on the radar, there are a few other navigation related kinks like this that still need to be ironed out.
The wallet stuff can be a bit confusing. On the mobile app, you're basically treated as a "listening user" for now, and the wallet is used to fund any zaps you send out from the app. You can select an external wallet app like Phoenix, and it should switch to that app when you try to zap (so you can pay the invoice). If you select wavlake NWC (which should auto connect if you have a wavlake wallet), then it'll use that to pay zap invoices. There's not much to be done as an "artist user" from the app. The artist photos and user photos are separate, so you'll need to set your user photo to match your artist photo, if that's what you want.
I was able to figure out the issue here, it's a pretty significant bug but a fix is in for the next app release. If you're a user with 0 sats in your wavlake NWC wallet, it crashes the app 😱 not great for new users 😅
Thanks for all the clarifications. Btw did you receive a zap ⚡️ from me? Coz I zapped you (from Primal) and then got a notification from Damus that I’d zapped myself 🤣
I did! Thank you!
Hi Josh, I uploaded a song to Wavlake and it’s in the Pop / Pop-Rock category it it’s not showing up in either of those categories, although it did appear in new releases and can find it if searching for the name and artist. Any idea why that might be?
Not sure about that, it should just show up under the genre it was published as.
I checked that the genre is inserted correctly, but it’s still not showing up under the Pop genre on Wavlake.

Is it possible it only shows up there after it’s gone from the “New” category? As I noticed that Ainslee Costello’s new song is not in Pop or Rock either but her older songs are
I had to look at the code to refresh my memory on this. The genre lists on the mobile app return a random sample of 100 tracks per genre, so it will only sometimes show up when browsing via genre.
Ah ok, thanks Josh
