I wonder if, something like this but it's (a) upfront that it's just scraping Instagram, and (b) the point is that it can't be stopped and you're making money from it. Let's just go full pirate, what's the point of a decentralized censorship-resistant protocol if nobody's trying to actively censor it? I envision a massive bot operation, "InstaMirror" or "InstaLeak" or something, like XCancel... Just spitting out Instagram npubs onto Nostr. All labeled so it can be easily muted as desired by users. Zaps are active, and go to the pseudonymous operator. The point is, "this is the money you could make by switching to Nostr," and there's a mechanism for the Instagram creator to take over their own Npub should they desire.

We need some whitehat zap farmers to generate many of these profiles that steal pictures from Instagram artists, collect zaps from all the good souls of Nostr, then reveal that everything was fake. Do it again over and over until they learn. Then give the satoshis back.

Someone has suggested something like this before: create bridged accounts that later can be turned over to the person if they prove they are who they are. Sounds like a good idea. We can actually do it using FROST decentralized key generation. Probably can't be fully automated though, since Instagram is such a dystopia. Maybe we can start with some other source platform? Still it would require some work to select and talk to the targets. And someone trustworthy enough for handling the temporary control of the accounts and taking the flak from the the bridged people who will hate everything.

Well there's always X, which has XCancel and Xitter mirrors that seem to be reasonably robust. Not sure how the latter operates but I assume they have "mole" accounts within X that are feeding them data...
