This is an interesting one. Truth and fact are very close… but fact is more absolute than truth I’d say. So… yeah my mind can be changed but I rate truth can be subjective
haha, not even. think there are universal truths, we just can't know for sure what they are. we can only get closer.
Do you think if we bring 2 of something and 3 of something together, we will always get 5 of something? Where do you think this does not hold true?
Einstein's understanding of physics is closer to truth than Newton's. Newton's is closer than Aristotle's. I mean it in the sense that we get closer and closer but never convinced we have it.
People thought they understood numbers before too. Then people discovered concept of zero which introduced negative numbers… I don’t think we can ever say for certain that there is nothing left to discover in any domain. Doesn’t mean what we know today isn’t useful.
Discovery of 0 changed nothing about how 1 and 2 interact. There is infinity left to discover and the more we discover the less we know, but there are truths to this universe that have existed since inception and are unchanging regardless of how we try to arrive at them, if we even can. Gödel's incompleteness theorem proves that there will always be truth in a system of logic that will exist and yey will not be provable within that system, such is how deeply truths are ingrained in the world. The mindset that truths are subjective and bendable are rather highly egoistic or arfive from the minds of highly confused individuals.
