Monero is the most functional money I personally ever used. I use it daily.
I do 80% of all my expenses in Monero. If Monero is not available I convert on the fly to LN or use good old cash. How about you?

A small side note. I am in Bitcoin since 2010 and have used it maybe a decade before you even heard about it for the first time.
