A community. A. Not the. There is no single "the community" and hasn't been for probably the very early days of the project. That's the closest I'd come to saying there was some single culture/philosophy/opinion/community.
It shouldn't be a surprise that more people leads to different ways of doing things.

We all want to believe that we are the community, but that's just wishful thinking. There isn't one. It's a myth. It's a lot of communities, and some of them are heavily opposed. This is why I only unite around one, maybe two principles. It always turns into this. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. All the other stuff is what you're imposing onto it. And I'm not even saying this is bad. I actually think it's a good thing. There shouldnt be a single community in charge.
"The community" doesn't even agree on strictly technical Bitcoin topics. Much less politics, reserves, etc.
