As a developer approaching grey beard status, AI and LLMs hurt deep because they make it clear to me that my career has been primarily built on thousands of hours of reading technical documentation, googling and stack overflow searching for issues that seem similar to the issue I'm trying to solve, and then testing multiple attempts to fix that problem.
