Saudi Arabia ditched the US dollar a few days ago. Probably nothing.

I can’t wait for Oil to be priced in BTC. Ditching the US dollar is a step in the right direction but if they just go with BRICS it’s a bit of a side step. While the US plays their woke agenda with their decrepit president the whole world is making moves. It’s crazy we all get to see it happen realtime.
I agree, it's a pretty big deal and it's weird to me that this isn't bigger news
a bit of a sidestep??? Its horrific and it will cost everyone a lot, mostly in actual freedom which we take for granted now while screaming about slavery like obssesed indoctrinated children
that news doesn't actually said they ditched the dollar. it only says they are in *talks * with China re Yuan. I really really hope that ppl who scream about how bad Dollar is take a look at how things might look under Yuan... because...well... you might be angry about dollar as fiat but you have nooooo idea how fully centralized CCP runs things. Hoping for destruction is a privilige of ppl who never really saw a serious shithole. Comparing ideals with reality is a classic problem all commies fall in and so do many other accelerationists
So if the shift doesn’t happen overnight it didn’t happen right? There’s millions of dollars still moving so these kinds of shifts take time, that doesn’t mean it is not happening. The world would definitely benefit from de-dollarization and implementing a Bitcoin standard. No country should own the reserve currency of the whole world that they can print endlessly. There’s plenty of evidence of what that does to every other single country out there, let alone the citizens of that same country.
When you say freedom do you mean the artillery shells, bullets and bombs the US has laid on anyone who resisted the dollar? As if it came for free, there’s a reason the US has the biggest military, they aren’t particularly peaceful folks🤣 I’d call it blood oil if I could. The rest of the world had to endure those horrors you speak of so that you could enjoy cheap oil and the marvels of modern tech.
nice leftist talking point usually spoken from a safe country. But in my country we 'resisted' the dollar for 45 years without the bombs. We just became poorer and poorer every decade until it ended in hyperinflation and banknotes with zeros higher than in Weinmar germany. The bomb did started to fall though, but only when some of us had enough of that crap and wanted to join the civilized world of capitalism. Not that anyone with a narrative to conform wants to hear it
theres a direence with 'thinking abou it' (even though even that is bad) and 'ditching' the dollar. to put in more undertandable terms for most americans: If I was talking to someone's girl about me wanting to have sex woth her isnt the same as me actually succeeding in having sex with her :) If not you, Im sure the boyfirend apreacitas the difference here and as a result I am still alive :)
