I was driving to the store tonight and came across what looked like a murder scene. A mother opossum had been hit. Her babies—still pouch-young—were scattered across the road. - Some were already gone. A few were still moving. I checked the mother and opened the pouch. There were still babies inside. I carefully removed the ones that showed signs of life. I brought them home and set up a warm nest to keep them alive through the night. One has a broken leg. No idea how many will make it. People fly down these roads without thinking. Please send positive vibes that they make it through the night. #IKITAO
