My friend wrote this on X. We're losing the meaning of language and that why we're getting all sorts of fucked up:
"It's not "bodily autonomy" if you're expecting other people to do something to your body.
It's not "bodily autonomy if the change you seek requires some kind of medical treatment or intervention, which is regulated in the way medicines are.
It's definitely not “bodily autonomy" if you're expecting other people to pay for it.
When did this concept of "bodily autonomy" become such a
misnomer?"
