I know this sounds almost unbelievable to some people, but I’ve started experimenting with water. Just water, nothing else.
In the shower, I start with warm water and finish with a minute of cold water. The first two weeks may feel strange, but then your hair and body adjust to it.

I tried this too for a while. More showers, less/no soap, lots of scrubbing. Worked well. Now I just use a little bit of soap, preferably a natural one. Ditched shampoo altogether
Using too much soap too frequently seems to leave you "dirtier" since you're constantly stripping the good bacteria as well
