Walk in silence, but with resolve. This is the spirit of the Dokkōdō, the Way of Solitude, where each step is taken with purpose, free from worldly distractions and attachments that weaken the spirit.
Miyamoto Musashi teaches us to live with an invisible sword: the sword of a clear mind, unwavering determination, and simplicity. Do not cling to what is fleeting, nor seek comfort in possessions or external approval. The true warrior finds strength within and remains calm amidst chaos.
Do not mourn what has passed, nor worry excessively about the future. The present is your battlefield, and every moment is an opportunity to forge yourself. Do not stray from the path of discipline and virtue, even when it seems difficult or lonely. Those who live by the code of righteousness are never truly alone.
Remember: there is no greater victory than mastering yourself.
