I LOVE cooking on the fire. Fine weather and weekends see me trying new things to cook on the fire… you win some and lose some! The win this weekend was chicken gyros… cooking the homemade wraps in the fire was super satisfyingg. The “lose” was the upside down apple cake in the Dutch oven. I’ll try again, but the fire was too hot, the sugar burned, the apples all but disappeared! The cake part was ok and ice cream we served on top was great! 🤣😬 I’m a stubborn old thing tho… so I’ll definitely give it another try!
