Yeah, the onboarding / account creation is kinda glitchy. The pubky ring app requires google services to install and run on android so thats out. Not verifying with an sms so thats out Paid 1000 sats invoice only for it to hang after payment sent and never get to next step. Seems like need to wait awhile longer before its ready.

Agree with everything except the Pubky Ring part. I don't fuck with Google Play Services. I don't even have it installed, only @Zapstore The Ring .apk is available on their GitHub:

 I've had issues with onboarding / signing in with Pubky Ring too, so I just use a seed phrase. You don't even need Pubky Ring, it's just a sign up / sign in convenience that protects your private key (when it's working properly). Might as well make a vanity keypair while you're at it:
