Know what I think the biggest problem with organized work these days is? It's not fiat, it's not money. It's people having no backbone when you try to work with them. Back in the day, it used to be "a man's word is his bond." But now? Almost everyone lies, swears up and down, makes quick promises just to forget them two hours later. This isn't just isolated incidents anymore. It's become an epidemic.
Picture this: Boss asks his app developer "why did our app get kicked off the Play Store?" Developer says "I'll figure it out right away." A week goes by. Boss asks again. Developer says "I was gonna handle it this week." Another week passes. Nothing. This dumbass doesn't even reach out and say "sorry, I promised I'd take care of this but..." Nah, you gotta chase this jerk down for the third time.
He could've just said "I don't care" or "I don't have time for this" like a real man. He's a freelancer after all. You can't boss him around. He can do whatever he wants. But no, he makes a promise so casually, like it means nothing. Then he ghosts you. Not once, not twice, but three damn times.
And it's like this everywhere, all the time. People freely give you their word, then break it without a second thought. Honestly man, how are you supposed to work with people like that?

People lack integrity these days. Being able to easily find new work probably exacerbates it.
