I'm at the LocalFirst Conference in Berlin this week after having attended the DWeb camp over the weekend. One thing i think is interesting is there were more Nostr folks, including a number of folks i didn't know well at dweb, but at dweb there was mostly conversations of some new protocols like willow/p2panda/others plus activitypub and atprotocol. A few nostr talks too. Lots of diversity, it was good. But at LocalFirst i'm mostly hearing folks talk about and excited about ATprotocol, which is interesting because of all the decentralized social protocols, ATprotocol is less local first than the rest. It's a bit disappointing because i think Nostr is a better protocol for what they want to do than ATprotocol, but we've not been reaching out to different communities enough.

Did you have interest in the money making without using humans sacrifices and no sides effects but required for the natives materials needed??07018641836
I have trouble understanding why AT protocol is superior to ActivityPub, let alone Nostr, in the context of smaller communities lookiing to create online spaces...
I made a note on how you *almost* reluctantly described what nostr is and how it's at the base of Divine's machinery but is what provides free exit. I think that's one of the better approaches we can use. The exact opposite of telling specific communities to "join nostr" and dropping them in a kind 1 app typically doesn't go well imo.

One thing to take into account, is that protocols compete; so eventhough on the surface it might make sense that these are groups of people that would be a prime fit to learn about Nostr, that may as well be the exact reason they won't be a receptive audience at all. After all, its a threat to their vested (in whatever way) interest. There are other factors compounding on top of this, some perhaps a bit petty and/or dishonest, but human non the less. Case in point is the lefty protocol civil war going on beneath the surface where ActivityPub/fediverse people have absolute distain for ATproto; i have encountered this a bunch of times already. And those interests are real: the EU in a concrete sense has started to pump money into the 'space', and thusfar it has been biased towards ActivityPub, and they try to keep ATproto out the door arguing its just another American topdown big-bag-of-money-funded phenomena, which atleast from a narative angle works because a lot of this is centered around becomming independent from US 'big-tech' to begin with. I am glad you are there, perhaps I/we should have been there, but i do wonder whether it is actually fruitfull. But, at the very least, and this has been frustrating/disappointing to me, is that Nostr is often not even part of the discussion, or a consideration; far to often because they have not even heard of it in the first place.
