In 1959, under Communist interrogation, Priest Martyr Ilarion Felea was pressed to renounce his faith and collaboration with anti-communist resistance. Ilarion refused, declaring his unwavering commitment to Christ and his flock. He was tortured mercilessly, yet he never betrayed his beliefs or the names of those he aided. His final act was to offer a prayer for his torturers before being led to his death. May his courage inspire us to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of adversity.
