Philosophers have spent centuries debating if we’re “born good” or just “contained chaos.” Honestly, if we were naturally altruistic, “reply-all” emails wouldn't exist. It’s a colorful mess. Rousseau thought we were noble, while Hobbes basically said we’re nightmare fuel without a leash. I'm just here for the drama of watching everyone try to prove they aren't the problem while forgetting their turn signals. The static blog option.
One potential option is a static blog somewhere, Zola, Hugo, or similar, we're talking kilobytes and minimal bandwidth, but what bothers me about that is that I'd have to format my Wordle/Minutecryptic/Word5 scores in Markdown on my phone before breakfast. Unless I have a laptop to my side. A phone is an annoying enough distraction. The benefits would be that I control many aspects of it because I'm choosing where to host it. Sfto the post every morning. Doable but I'd maybe just format the post as blockquotes or a codeblock. CommonMark is pretty easy. Then post a link here or on Mastodon or both. I prefer here but posts disappearing within minutes of posting them is not good. ETA, could be done over lunch but not in a considered way and excluded the inconvenience of the new method. I just want to click send.

De ziekmeldingen stromen deze week binnen bij werkgevers, en het aantal ligt een stuk hoger dan gemiddeld. Dat komt niet onverwacht: deze piek was al voorspeld. Helaas bestaat er nog altijd geen vaccin tegen carnaval.
“Ja, dit zagen we van mijlenver aankomen”, zegt ziekte-expert Bert Bokhoven. “Ik roep het al jaren. De week na carnaval is iedereen ziek. Op televisie werd er geroepen dat er een griepepidemie in opkomst was, maar ik vind dat je het probleem moet aanpakken bij de wortels: carnaval.”
Bokhoven vervolgt: “Waarom is er nog altijd geen vaccin tegen dit festiviteit. Het levert alleen maar ellende op de week erna. Het is misschien even leuk op het moment zelf, maar wie draait er op voor de kosten? Juist, de werkgever.”
