"CR" for short. Edited "Kicking the Hornet's Nest" (everything Satoshi wrote publicly in chronological order). Made the Nostr Wiki at https://nostrwiki.vercel.app and Nostr bridges: Nostrdon (with Mastodon) & Hostr (with Hive). Home page: https://crrdlx.vercel.app

I was just watching a male cardinal perch on a piece of child's playground climbing equipment. Another male cardinal flew in to bully the first off his perch. And then a third flew in. It's another conclave of cardinals (who don't play well with others).

I guess the idea of time and the wristwatch oddly reminded me of this "Bitkenstan" animation about Satoshi: image All episodes at #bitcoin

You know, with "daylight saving time" we actually don't save any daylight. And by coming off DST like we just did, the sun actually doesn't "come up earlier" now in the morning and it actually won't "get dark earlier" now in the evening. That's like changing the calendar to "2015" and then saying, "Lookie, I'm 10 years younger!" Nature does what it does, regardless of what words we put onto it. "Anthropomorphic climate change", anyone?

Pretty happy with how this #gold / #bitcoin project is coming out. "About" page added: About This Project Understanding the "Digital Gold vs Golden Digital" comparison The Concept Bitcoin is often called "digital gold" - a store of value in the digital realm. But what if we flipped the concept? What if instead of digital gold, we had golden digital? This project explores a fascinating thought experiment: imagine a physical bitcoin made of pure gold, similar in size to a silver dollar or Casascius coin. Such a coin would weigh approximately 71 grams. The Comparison This tool answers a simple question: Which investment would have performed better? Golden Digital: Holding 71 grams of physical gold over time (in the shape of a coin) Digital Gold: Converting that gold's value into Bitcoin at the start date and holding it as BTC By selecting a start date, you can see how both investments would have performed. The comparison shows the USD value of your 71g gold coin versus the USD value of the Bitcoin you could have purchased with that same amount of money. How It Works Current Snapshot: Shows today's value of 71g of gold in USD and how much Bitcoin that amount could buy right now Historical Analysis: Select a start date (default is one year ago) to see how both investments would have performed over time Visual Comparison: An interactive chart displays both investment values over time, making it easy to see which strategy would have been more profitable Detailed Statistics: View percent changes, USD value changes, and see clearly which investment came out ahead

I can't decide if those waterless, flushless men's urinals are the best thing ever because they conserve water or the worst thing ever because they rely solely on gravity to make the bad stuff and smell hopefully go away. I want to believe the former, but I'm not convinced yet. It's like questionably old milk, I want to drink it with my cookies, but...

Truth that some people need to hear... If you decided you're old enough to go trick or treating without your parents, then you're too old to go trick or treating. Stop, time to grow up.

With the #bitcoin ATH, someone posted something about January 3, 2009. Reminded me of this proverb: "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." "The best time to buy bitcoin was January 3, 2009. The second best time is now."
