It's funny how things that happened decades ago sometimes seem to resurface, connect, and come together; people, events, and such.

"CR" for short. Edited "Kicking the Hornet's Nest" (everything Satoshi wrote publicly in chronological order). Made the Nostr Wiki at https://nostrwiki.vercel.app and Nostr bridges: Nostrdon (with Mastodon) & Hostr (with Hive). Home page: https://crrdlx.vercel.app
I'm rather happy with the way is shaping up. Minimalist long form #nostr posting. Just write, post.

What happened to nostr long form apps? I tried Yakihonne yesterday, and failed. Tried habla.news, seems to be forgottenware. Untype.app, which I loved, seems to be...something; and Mac only. What are we using now? #asknostr
Are we still doing 100 push-ups 'til 100k?
Enjoying watching a real life #dinosaur battle play out at the moment.
Lots of #eclipse talk at the moment. If you ever have the chance to see a total solar eclipse, I highly recommend it. My experience:

BIP-110 today
The bitcoin bip-110 fork is set to happen today. For fun, I made a version of Jameson Lopp's countdown (link below) styled like the old Cold War Doomsday Clock. Last I checked, it was 3 seconds to midnight. Now it's apparently midnight to midnight--what an odd way the vibe code phrased it!
Below are some links for ...

Slim Jim security
My place of work sometimes offers treats to employees in hopes that we feel appreciated. I do appreciate it - just the thought and effort says a lot and I like treats. Today I grabbed a Slim Jim. It oddly reminded me of bitcoin.
I tried to open the top of the Slim Jim with a tear across the front end at the top...

If they made bitcoin wallets as hard to get into as a Slim Jim, everyone's coins would be a lot safer.
After a brute force attack, I finally got to eat the beef stick, with sore fingers.
Gwern moving from writing to AI startup
Well this caught my attention. The mysterious "Gwern" is apparently moving from writing to an AI startup for individuals.

Six months ago, at the height of OpenClaw mania, I put out the note below. I'd say it's aging rather well.

Unexpected side note from the Fauci diaries: it seems that Anthony Fauci is a double space after a period to the a sentence guy, just like Satoshi. Old school typing. #bitcoin #covid

I feel terrible for what happened (is happening) to the bitcoiners who had funds in a Coldcard hardware wallet. If anyone is wondering...Bitcoin, the system or the protocol, is fine. There was a goof in the way the Coldcard device randomized private keys - they weren't as random as they should have been. So, not a bitcoin issue, but a Coldcard device issue.
So much to do...

I'm enjoying the bare bones simplicity of "playing" HiveGrove. It's my kind of game: simple concept, easy to play, do it if you wish, or not.

I was recently impressed with the vibrant color of this plant, evidently it's Bluebead (clintonia borealis).
