"CR" for short. Edited "Kicking the Hornet's Nest" (everything Satoshi wrote publicly in chronological order). Made the Nostr Wiki at https://nostrwiki.vercel.app and Nostr bridges: Nostrdon (with Mastodon) & Hostr (with Hive). Home page: https://crrdlx.vercel.app

Re: recent #nostr drama, I've seen this same censorship debate played out, and end, over on #Hive (old Steemit) for years. There, clients (called front ends, main ones being PeakD, Ecency, hive.blog) censor out hate-posters and such. However, the posts are still there on the chain base layer and can be seen in any chain explorers. This would be like nostr notes on relays. Bottom line, individual clients/ front ends can do whatever they want. Censor, filter, or show. If you don't like the censoring or showing, use another client or build your own. This is how decentralization works.

I've been seeing a few more references to the BIP-110 possible #bitcoin fork situation coming this August. I imagine it'll only pick up over the summer. image

For just the summer fun of it, my wife and I are considering the Merlin app and having a little who-can-log-the-most-birds birding competition.

My Actifit Report Card: May 28 2026 image I'm trying really hard to get into this book and enjoy this book. But I'm struggling to do so. My father really enjoyed it, but there's something about it that I'mnot connecting with. In part its the content, but more so it'... Bridged via Hostr at Read the original at

Somehow I feel these bitcoin pullbacks are really healthy, like rest days amid periods of working out hard.

I'm liking what Firefox has been doing of late, but this "fox" looks too much like a cat. Shade that tail from your field a vision, that's a cat. (Disclaimer: dogs rule.) image #dogs not #cats

I think I'd prefer the pope stuck to quoting the Bible rather than Tolkien.

Tinfoil hat conspiracy theory for fun... Satoshi was on the editorial board of "The Times" or privy to someone high up who was, got wind of the headline or wrote it himself, then embedded the timestamp into the Genesis block prior to Jan. 3, 2009, maybe on Jan. 1 or 2. In reply to: #bitcoin

For the second time in a year or two the printing company upped their fee for printing "Kicking the Hornet's Nest", forcing me to up the retail price in turn. I don't blame them, I'm sure their costs have indeed risen. I just fail to see why 2% inflation is okay. Of course, we've been above that stated target rate for years, but even 2% is at least 2% too much. #economics #inflation image

Quantum computing and bitcoin - making my call right here and now Depending on who you listen to, the "quantum threat" to bitcoin is either (a) purely FUD to be ignored, or (b) an inevitable truth that's coming with the when? as the only question, such as in five-ish or ten-ish years out (2030-2040). I'm making my call right now... Bridged via Hostr at This is a long form post, read the full article at

Navigating and learning Magi.eco and Altera is bringing smart contracts and cross-chain abilities to the It's live, working, and still building. I'm kind of liking the discourse, discussion, and bickering. It's what makes Nostr good and makes it better. My knee jerk thoughts: - it's just cool that on-chain zaps can be done - it's extremely expensive it's overkill to do it on-chain when LN works faster - I get that privacy issues on-chain are an issue; that said, if you want to publicly give me a million dollars, or 10 or a billion, I'll accept it; when people win the lottery in places that require it to be publicly known, I've never heard of anyone to say, "No thank you" - the market will work it out; currently, the market is clearly on the side of LN and I think the market will only lean even more so that way as "number go up" let innovation innovate; we'll decide what sticks Overall, I think the free market will work it out and on-chain zaps will pass but the ability to innovate break new unexplored ground is a good thing too. https://stacker.news/items/1491383
