Man, what a shitty day. I got a Coldcard because everyone recommended it so heavily @ODELL @NVK 🌞⚡️ 🌞⚡️ @MartyBent . I trusted it and recommended it to others. I almost had my life ruined... My passphrase saved me, and I was okay, but my best friend also had his funds on an Mk3. He isn’t as technical; it was straight panic yesterday trying to help him out, but he is safe too. He also used a passphrase and did dice rolls. If I had lost, I could have lived with it, but if my recommendation ruined someone else’s life, that would have been much tougher. Blessed to be okay, but I will learn from this and never put myself in a similar situation again. @coldcard @NVK 🌞⚡️, you will never be trusted again. I will also diversify—multisig and some IBIT. Clearly, in this new age of AI, finding vulnerabilities, can you really trust any hardware‑wallet single‑sig anymore? One hundred percent, always use a solid passphrase, but do not over‑complicate it either, because that could lead to a loss of funds. Love you all; this is one of the darkest days I’ve had in the last ten years. All the people who did it the right way still got destroyed. It hurts seeing these posts. I pray they catch whoever is responsible and that the funds somehow get returned. Honestly, though, Coldcard @NVK 🌞⚡️, you had one fucking job. How can a screw‑up so big like this happen? Fucking amateur hour. A lot of faith I had in certain people is dead. Don't trust anyone, and don't leave all your eggs in one basket anymore. Have some sats, multisig, some IBIT shares, use dice rolls, passphrases. I was very dumb to put myself in a position to lose it all. Never again. This will happen again make preparations now.
