GM 🥨 Early this morning I was by the Isar river and saw the costume groups and riflemen's clubs getting ready for the big parade. This traditional event premiered in 1835 and features today over 9,000 participants in a 7 km long procession. It’s one of the highlights of #Oktoberfest and always takes place on the first Sunday after the opening of the #Wiesn (aka Oktoberfest). 😉 The weather was perfect, and I loved observing the small, behind-the-scenes moments: traditionally dressed musicians with their instrument in one hand and a beer in the other – at 8 am, or women in perfect 19th-century traditional clothes checking their cell phones. #Munich #Oktoberfest2025 #Isar #morningstr
