I think maybe the world will never be fully utopian or dystopian. There will always be pockets of utopia and dystopia and it's just a matter of where you are.

At the age of 30 I still wake up from nightmares that I'm still imprisoned by the public school system... only to realize that I am free.

There is a common misconception that Nginx has any control over WebSocket messages at all. So I just want to say this to the world: Nginx CAN NOT rate limit WebSocket messages. Nginx CAN NOT see WebSocket connections. WebSockets are treated like normal HTTP requests, and once a connection is opened Nginx cannot save you. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Black pepper, a cheap, abundant, highly available commodity found in every diner and gas station in the United States, is almost impossible to obtain fresh in its natural form. Most people will never experience eating a raw peppercorn fruit. It's mind blowing. image

To make Ditto work correctly I feel I am having to push the entire TypeScript ecosystem forward. Not just for Nostr. For Postgres, Hono, WebSockets. It's crazy.

@hodlbod re: labels vs event sets, I want to mark a user as a moderator of my server. This gives them special powers to delete posts from my relay. If this moderator turns bad, I want the ability to revoke them unequivocally. Labels don't guarantee that, event sets do. Also, it only matters within my own relay.

I buy homophobic french fries from Chick-Fil-A and transgender vegan cheese from some vegan cheese company, so I feel these things cancel out.
