New War loading: image 🇸🇴/🇺🇸🇮🇱Somalia may restrict access to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait for countries that undermine the country’s territorial integrity, its ambassador to Ethiopia and permanent representative to the African Union, Abdullahi Warfa, said on X. "Any country interfering in Somalia’s internal affairs and compromising its territorial integrity and sovereignty will face repercussions, including potential restrictions on access to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait,” he stressed. The diplomat did not specify which countries he was referring to, but the statements are clearly aimed primarily at Israel, which recognized the semi-autonomous region of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state late last year.

🇮🇷 Iran’s FM spox Esmaeil Baqaei: Iran pursued that the ceasefire in Lebanon also be based on the April 8 understanding; the ceasefire happened last night. A great deal of effort was made from various sides for this matter. Therefore, it was decided that the part related to Iran's commitments - which I emphasize again is nothing new and is the implementation of the same April 8 commitment - be carried out. That is, the movement of commercial vessels with Iran's coordination. Araghchi's tweet was within the framework of the April 8 ceasefire agreement. Media and people should not pay attention to the opposing side's media game. They have contradictory positions. Iran is the guardian of the Strait of Hormuz and wherever necessary, in implementing measures that guarantee the interests and rights of the Iranian nation, it shows no leniency.
🇮🇷 From Fars News: Officials! At least explain the reason for your “lack of explanation” Simultaneously with the Foreign Minister’s unexpected tweet about the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, followed by Trump’s heated rhetoric, Iranian society has been plunged into confusion. International analysts interpret the recent behavior of the U.S. president as a sign of frustration in dealing with Iran’s complex situation. However, what has caused even greater concern among people inside the country is the absolute and unusual silence of the Supreme National Security Council and the negotiating team. Citizens emphasize that they trust officials to observe the system’s red lines and exercise proper judgment, but they expect at least a clear explanation for the “reason for silence.” Public opinion raises the question: if it is in the country’s interest not to disclose details of negotiations or recent developments, why is the reason for this lack of transparency not itself explained to the public? People understand that revealing Iran’s goals and plans would also inform its adversaries, and they do not expect disclosure of sensitive secrets in such circumstances. However, they ask officials not to allow the enemy’s narrative and hostile media to fill the information vacuum and manipulate public sentiment. In these days, Twitter and short statements are not suitable tools for convincing domestic public opinion; even this “lack of explanation” itself requires explanation.
🇮🇷 From Tasnim News: Criticism of an incomplete and misleading tweet by Araghchi regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, tweeted a short time ago that following the ceasefire in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz would be fully open for commercial shipping for the remainder of the ceasefire period. The tweet, which was published without sufficient explanation, created various ambiguities regarding the conditions, details, and mechanisms of passage, and drew significant criticism. At the same time, there are several conditions attached to this issue, one of the most important being the full monitoring of ship traffic by Iran’s armed forces. The passage would also be considered void if the alleged maritime blockade continues. The publication of this tweet, without any accompanying verbal explanation or at least sufficient written clarification, is considered a complete failure in communication. It is evident that either the Foreign Ministry must revise its approach to such announcements, or the Supreme National Security Council Secretariat must fulfill its duty by providing proper information management and establishing a more coordinated framework for public communication by institutions, including the Foreign Ministry. Tweets published by officials, even if written in English, are not seen only by foreign officials. The Iranian public also closely follows these developments as part of its revolutionary duty. Any creation of concern or disappointment among the nation is considered a form of political wrongdoing and a disruption of national unity.
Iran is fumbling hard these last few hours. They're making the same mistakes Russia made during the faux negotiations last year. They're allowing Trump to immediately frame the narrative and without immediate and swift denials or clarifications these claims can take on a life of it's own and can get you boxed in and could be willed into reality. Russia has nukes though and is winning the war in Ukraine so they could afford to let Trump yap all year, but someone in Tehran better be calling Moscow and Beijing every half hour clarifying what is true and what is not.
🇨🇺 US repeats the same surveillance pattern with Cuba as they did with Venezuela, drones surveyed the whole island. Donald Trump implied that he may invade Cuba and depose "the communist regime", so he says.

Eisenhower at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia during maintenance, Fox News reports. ➡️ The fire was quickly contained by the crew and shipyard personnel, and the sailors were treated for minor injuries before returning to duty. ➡️ The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
🇮🇷🇺🇸 TankerTrackers data based on a 3 day AIS (Automatic Identification System) playback since a reported maritime blockade line was set between Oman’s eastern coast and the Iran Pakistan border shows multiple tankers under US sanctions continuing to enter and leave the area. These are only vessels broadcasting AIS signals, so ships operating without AIS are not included. TankerTrackers also says several of the same vessels have been confirmed in recent satellite imagery, suggesting limited AIS spoofing in this dataset.
🇷🇺🇺🇦 According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is preparing to launch large-scale strikes on Ukraine up to seven times per month — roughly every 4–5 days, Foreign Minister Sybiha said. By their definition, a “massive attack” means at least 400 drones combined with 20 or more missiles. Intelligence suggests this tempo could begin in the near future, he stated at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The previous large-scale strike took place yesterday.
